Need options for illuminating playing fields, tennis or basketball courts, ice rinks, or parking lots? Sports light poles are your best bet.
Here are a few basic facts you’ll need to know about sports poles.
How tall can you go? We catalog mounting heights from 50 to 90 feet in both anchor-based and embedded sports poles, but have built poles up to 110 feet tall.
We’ll show you how it’s done. We provide detailed installation instructions for 2- to 3-piece and embedded poles.
Add some style. We offer a variety of bracketry for sport poles, including:
• Platform brackets
• Top-mounted brackets
• Side-mounted cross-arm brackets

Before choosing the height of your sports poles, we recommend calculating the Effective Projected Area requirements for the loading on the pole. This is the part of the pole that’s loaded by the wind. You then want to ensure that the selected pole can accommodate the loading — this information is located within the cut-sheet specs for each pole. the finishing touches
All Lyte Poles’ sports poles feature a galvanized finish. Galvanization is the process of coating steel with a thin layer of zinc. Once hardened, the zinc carbonate is dull gray and protects the pole from corrosion when exposed to the natural elements. Learn more about our finishes here.
